At Interpretelle, we are fueled by a strong commitment to language access and inclusivity. Language access entails providing accurate, reliable, and culturally sensitive interpretation services, empowering individuals and businesses alike to connect, collaborate, and thrive.
With nearly a decade of experience in the field, we are experts at ensuring that language shouldn’t be an obstacle to understanding. Here at Interpretelle, we relish in providing Spanish language interpretation services that leave a positive impact on the lives of our clients and the communities we serve.
Our Team
Sara Elizabeth (preferred name: Elle) Dowd is a Federally Certified Court Interpreter (FCCI) with almost a decade of Spanish interpreting experience. Though she specializes in the legal field, her experience includes Spanish <> English interpretation in a variety of work environments: medical appointments, disability hearings, social services, public school system meetings, conference interpreting, and much more.
She is a trauma informed interpreter, skilled in high stakes, sensitive subject matters. It’s important to Elle to provide a human, down to earth approach to language access.
Elle worked in Spain as an English teacher for several years and teaches Legal Interpreting as an adjunct lecturer to this day at CUNY John Jay College. She considers both teaching and interpreting her passions.
When not wearing her interpreting headset, Elle enjoys running, reading, and fostering cats. Of course, being based out of Buffalo, New York, she is also a huge Bills fan.
